It's time to tell the world

I've put it off for too long now. I know something true, and something important. I have been wanting to write about it for quite sometime, but less important things have gotten in the way, and excuses have been made. Then one night as I pondered my stance on the issues of freedom in software, it became too much, and I just began to write. Well anyway, to make a long story short, I came up with a paper, a manifesto, if you will. I posted it here in my first posting. Please, read it, think about it, and PASS IT ALONG!

  1. Allen,
I love this article that you have written. I must say that my own lack of experience keeps me from using ubuntu and free software. I hope to remedy that in the near future. Thanks for sharing your ideas and helping me see that we are still finding new frontiers to explore. You remind me of the early Native Americans who were so befuddled by people who wanted to "buy" their land. They thought it was okay because they never felt they owned it. It owned them. So they basically gave it all away thinking that it wasn't possible to own it anyway. Things may have been very different if they had understood what was really happening around them. Your article is important for the same reasons.
